Secret Recipe Raises CMN Funds

Hot Chocolate anyone?!!  No one makes Hot Chocolate, or any dish for that matter, like one from Avoyelles Parish Louisiana.

This week, our Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital was the recipient of funds raised by our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nursing staff.  Visitors and CHRISTUS associates were treated to a Hot Chocolate Bar.  The secret recipe for hot chocolate was made by Faye Juneau and served up by Sherrie Miller.

This was not an average Hot Chocolate Bar.  For a $2 donation to CMN, one could enjoy the Hot Chocolate of their dreams!  CHRISTUS visitors enjoyed sinful toppings from whipped cream, chocolate syrup, marsh mellows, peppermint, to cookies.

Typically CMN dollars come in from a 80 mile radius, extending out from the hospital.  In the case of the Hot Chocolate Bar, our own NICU nurses gave back to their own patients.   The CMN dollars raised will be used to purchase life saving equipment, services, and  specialized training that benefit the tiniest of our Central Louisiana lives.

Stayed tuned for another Hot Chocolate Bar coming back soon….
