Louisiana Restaurant Association’s Cenla Chapter Saves Lives

The children’s departments at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital are  overwhelmed with the generosity of the Cenla Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA).  On February 9, 2018 the LRA raised a wonderful $10,000 for local children’s health associated with their local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital.

For 24 years, LRA Cenla has hosted events such as the Taste of Mardi Gras.  For 11 of those years, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital’s children have been one of its beneficiaries.  2018 was no exception, as the LRA Cenla Chapter continued to exemplify their love and concern for the tiniest of lives in Central Louisiana through their recent $10,000 Taste of Mardi Gras donation.

By hosting a music filled family event with tastings and samplings of Louisiana food and beverages from over 100 local restaurants, LRA Cenla reached an amazing CMN fundraising total.  The enthusiasm and organization of the Taste of Mardi Gras / LRA Cenla leadership team influenced the high level of attendance and overall success of the event.

Consequently, over 270 Central Louisiana kids will be impacted a day at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital by the LRA Cenla’s Taste of Mardi Gras donation.  These funds will directly impact the lives of children in the hospital’s Pediatric Therapy Center, level 3 regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,  and 17 rural School Based Health Centers.
