Clydesdales for Children

Express Employment of Scott, La recently hosted a free Express Clydesdale event through their partnership with Cajun Harley Davidson, Fezzo’s Restaurant, Rochettos and Jaryd Lane.  100% of the proceeds from the event were donated to their local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, to provide life saving treatments and charitable care to the tiniest in the community.

While the Express Clydesdale event was free to the public, donations to Children’s Miracle Network were encouraged through Miracle Balloon sales at the event and through a $100 cash drawing.  Fezzo’s Restaurant donated a percentage of their proceeds on February 5th, to CMN and Jaryd Lane performed for the community simultaneously!
Arica and Ian Prejean, Franchise Owners of Express Employment, arranged for the Express Clydesdale horses to come to Scott, La. Their team also recruited additional business support to make the event memorable and fun.  As a result, much needed funds were raised for CHRISTUS Cabrini’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Therapy Center and 17 rural School Based Health Centers.

CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the state, serving over 270 kids daily.  It is a not-for-profit healthcare system dedicated to the vision that all people in Central Louisiana receive world-class health care through the healing grace of Jesus Christ, with special concern for the poor and under served.  No one is turned away.
Express Employment’s help in funding children’s healthcare could not come at a better time, as many not-for-profit hospitals are struggling to continue services that save children’s lives.  With selfless partners such as Express Employment of Scott, Fezzo’s Restaurant, Rochettos, and Cajun Harley Davidson of Scott, children’s hospital are sustaining their critical services, lifesaving equipment and education needed to serve the tiniest in our local population.
The kids of Central and South Central Louisiana think they are LIFE SAVERS!
